Subject: Suffolk University's Electrical and Computer Engineering Department is looking for retired Electrical Engineeers to provide tutoring and other student support

My name is Lisa Shatz and I am the Chairman of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Suffolk University in Beacon Hill, and I am looking for retired engineers who can provide support (tutoring, help in the lab, perhaps even moral support) to our students. We have a small ABET-accredited program in Electrical Engineering and it is our department's mission (as well as our university's), to give access to and opportunity to all deserving students. As such, we accept into our program, students whose weak math skills would otherwise prevent them from attempting an engineering program and we work with them to help bring them up to speed. Since our department is small, and because only has an undergraduate program, we do not have upper classmen or graduate students from which our students can learn, and therefore I am looking to retired engineers to provide that resource. We can also offer payment too.
