There will be a brief presentation on the various technologies employed in our products and a tour of our facility with opportunities to discuss products and technologies. SPEAKER'S BIOGRAPHY John Masciola is Vice President of Instrument Engineering at Caliper responsible for the company's software and firmware development. Prior to joining Caliper (formerly Zymark Corp.) John worked in the semiconductor equipment industry at Eaton making Ion Implanters, at Brooks Automation, making robots and automation for semiconductor equipment, and at GenRad making test equipment for the semiconductor and electronics industries. John is a member of the IEEE and former Program Chair of the IEEE International Test Conference. He holds a MSCS from Purdue and a BSCS from Northeastern University. Directions to Caliper Life Sciences: From I-90 take exit 11A to Route 495 South. Follow Route 495 South for 3.4 miles to Exit 21A, Main Street, Hopkinton. When you come off of Exit 21A, continue on Main Street for about 1/4 mile (pass the Mobil gas station on the left). At the first traffic light take a left onto Lumber Street extension. Proceed to Caliper Life Sciences Building 2, on the left side of the street. After the meeting, at approx. 8:00 PM, the group will have a no-host dinner at Marconi's Italian Restaurant, 13 Pond St. (Route 126), in Ashland, MA 01721, where more conversations can take place with the guest speaker. Driving directions from Caliper Life Sciences to Marconi's: Backtrack the previous route on Lumber Street extension and take a left onto Main Street. After 0.5 mile Main Street will merge with Route 135. Continue on Route 135 for 6.5 miles via Ashland to Framingham and take a right onto Route 126 South (Hollis Street, later Pond Street). After 1 mile you will see the restaurant. The meetings are open to the general public, and all are welcome at the dinner afterwards.
